This first phase is a fixed fee, set before work begins. Nothing in it obligates you to the next phase.

The first phase

What you get first.

  1. We take controlOnce you sign the authorization, we deal with the IRS for you. Send us any IRS letter you receive.
  2. Exactly where you standEvery year, balance, penalty and filing, taken from your IRS record rather than estimated.
  3. Your deadlines, risks and leverageThe dates that protect you, the dates that limit collection, and where you have room to act.
  4. Your Resolution RoadmapIn writing: where you stand, what happens if nothing is done, and which paths are open to you.

With the Roadmap in hand, you decide what happens next.

If you are receiving notices

How IRS collection escalates.

Collection usually follows a sequence of notices, and each one leaves less room to respond. Find the letter you have.

  1. CP14A balance is due. The first bill, and the best time to act.
  2. CP501 / CP503Reminders that the balance is still unpaid.
  3. CP504Notice of intent to levy. Collection is escalating.
  4. LT11 / Letter 1058Final notice of intent to levy, with the right to request a Collection Due Process hearing.
  5. Levy or garnishmentThe IRS can take funds from a bank account or part of your wages.

Typical order of collection notices. Your case may differ; the record Bridge pulls in the first phase shows exactly where it stands.
